Firstly i would like to say that this chair is comfortable and generally feels well made. It is reassuringly heavy and the mesh back is very comfortable. I also disagree with people who say the tension is far too strong, personally i would like to be able to loosen it further however i don’t find it too difficult to move. However i find that the seat is not really deep enough, this isn’t a major issue however as i am 1. 75m tall i think it could be for tall people. Assembly was easy and relatively straight forwards, the chair is sturdy and comfortable even after 5 hours of use. So in conclusion i would recommend this chair and it is good value.
The most comfortable office chair i have ever used. When trying to find a chair you’re going to spend around 40 hours a week in, you do a lot of research. Based on the amazon reviews i chose this one, as well as the fact i liked how it looked. The chair came in one large box and was very easy to put together on my own, using the basic tools supplied. I suffer from sciatica so a chair with an ergonomic back support was of upmost importance – i had previously been using a standard flat backed leather chair with a back support attachment. Happily since using this chair i’ve had no issues relating to poor posture at work with my sciatica, and for that reason along i would happily give this chair 5 stars. But other things i like about this chair:-it’s easy to wipe clean (in black fabric. Having had a couple of lunch spillages at my desk)-the arm rests are height adjustable-it’s easy to adjust the seat into a comfortable position with the height and back rest both being adjustable, plus the angle of the backrest can be locked in any position. -i use this chair on a carpeted floor, the castors never catch / stick. I honestly can’t think of any negatives of this chair and with that said i would happily replace this chair with the same one should i break now after 12 months use. Here are the specifications for the Topstar Open Point SY Design Swivel Chair:
- Ergonomically shaped backrest with breathable mesh cover
- Intervertebral discs seat
- Height adjustable “U2(B)” armrests
- Black polyamide base
I bought it because of my sensitive back, loved it, and got a second one for my other office. Have never sat better, excellent back support. Height of arm rests is adjustable; mesh back reduces sweating, comfy seat.
Sturdy and well put together with a nice solid feel to it. . I spent £48 on another manufacturers ‘office’ chair that literally fell to pieces and malfunctioned in less than a year. This time i decided to spend a bit more in the hope that i would get something that did to coin a phrase ‘exactly what it says on the tin’ and i am not disapointed. I also read the ‘reviews’ of others who had purchased a similar chair for my guidance prior to purchase. I am disabled with a longterm spinal injury so finding a chair that i can put together myself is a bonus, to have a chair that is so easy to adjust is another plus point, however the foremost advantage for me is that i can sit in this chair for long periods withou pain or leg spasms, a definate plus. If i wanted to nit pick i would advise the manufacturer to make the arms a little more sturdy and maybe even cover them in the fabric that the seat consists of, there is a noticeable wobble on the arms but they adjust like a dream and will definately help anyone who gets a bit of rsi from time to time as i can adjust the chairs arms so that my arms dont droop down creating bad poise and leading to aches and pains. Honestly and without question or doubt the best money i have ever invested.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Fantastic chair!
- Excellent Product
- Simple, sturdy and stylish
Unlike your usual rickety plastic office chairs, this is absolutely rock solid. I won’t mince words; i am a large woman and as any person larger than 16 stone will tell you, finding a chair that is supportive and isn’t rickety can be a problem. From the moment you park your behind in this chair, you know that there will be no trembling, rocking, lowering and creaking; it is the sturdiest chair i have come across to date. The weight of it is absolutely astounding, and you can feel the quality just when trying to move it as weighs about 4 times more than your average swivel chair. I can lean to the side on this without the sensation the whole chair is going to tip over (the case with some of the previous chairs i’ve owned). Came packaged nicely in a massive box in a limited number of pieces and was very easy to put together (took about ten minutes). The instructions i will say were quite unhelpful as they are in german and the only english language section is in a font so small that it is a struggle to read. In the end, we worked with logic and figured out where things went (and it isn’t very hard to do). The mesh is quite solid and very supportive and has a deep curve to support your spine while simultaneously preventing you from slouching and potentially causing yourself pain later.
Cheaply made, but very adjustable. Very cheaply made, but does the job, is very comfortable and very adjustable. Adjustability was my main requirement. But they don’t move in or outwards from the chair. I think some models do because, when assembling, it looks like you can set them wider or narrower, but you can’t: the screws only fit into the last socket. But that will be fine for most people. The seat height adjusts easily, as does the tilt – and stays locked into whatever position you like. The seat back also slides up and down through about 5 settings. From the photos, i thought the seat back was a metal mesh. But it’s actually very thin stretched fabric that gives under the weight of your back. I think the tension can be increased. It’s actually very comfy – a bit like a trampolineassembly was okay – instructions were useless, but it was mostly pressing the four parts together. The arm-rests were tricky, but worked it out (tip: there are no nuts for the screws – the final hole itself is threaded).
