Putnams Coccyx Posture Chair : This is well made and comfortable.

This is well made and comfortable. . I bought a cheaper version than this and it quickly fell apart. This is well made and comfortable.

Having limited knowledge about these chairs. I researched well and this product repeatedly came out on top. So with high hopes i unpacked and re-configured the height etc. And not only does it look good in a minimal kind of way but it does help posture. And i am very pleased with it. To begin with, a limit should be set on usage because it activates your knees in a way not previously familiar. But after a while, it all feels good.

We bought this chair as my husband has a broken disc in the bottom of his spine & he can not sit down on any other type of chair. This type of chair was recommended by our orthopaedic surgen so we purchased this one as it looked to be the best available. We are so happy with the quality of the seat pad itself & it is comfortable to sit on although it takes a while to get used to a new sitting position. The chair is fully adjustable & portable so we take it out with us to friends houses & restaurants. Would recommend this for anyone with a similar back problem after checking with own doctor first. Here are the specifications for the Putnams Coccyx Posture Chair:

  • Designed for coccyx relief
  • Correctly aligns your spine

This was purchased in an attempt to improve posture and relieve back and leg pain from being on my backside all day. It is comfy, thats for sure. The memory foam seat and leg rest is better than the regular foam stuff that you normally get. But it should be as this costs a fair bit more than similar products. However for a regular desk, it is too high when the wheels are fitted. . Even at the lowest setting. I find that this chair provides relief on a short term basis by swapping from a regular chair from time to time, but the height issue mean that one bends forwards a little too much when using it. It would be lower if you removed the wheels.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • This is well made and comfortable.
  • Comfortable but insufficient adjustment
  • The Right Posture

Comfortable but insufficient adjustment. I wanted a kneeler chair for computer work due to lower back problems as i had borrowed a friend’s and found it helped. I have also used the cushion type so had high hopes for this kneeler. The foam is very comfortable as is the cushion design but the problem is that it only has 2 slots for adjustment. I found the whole thing too high for computer work and typing so i ended up taking the castors back off (which add a couple of inches to its height) which isn’t ideal as it is now hard to move.

Well it really helps my gerd symptoms because it keeps the curvature of my spine aligned. Have to get used to the knee pressure but that ensures i getup and walk around every 20-30 mins. This has to be the best investment for me for a while.
