TOP STAR Topstar Open Art 10 Design Swivel Chair : This is the sickest swivel chair I’ve ever owned.

Easy to put together & looks great but keeps sinking. Easy to put together & looks great but keeps sinking, so have to regularly manually increase the height, which is rather annoying for a chair of this price.

Excellent very comfortable made in germany chair.

Excellent chair, very comfortable for me (6’4′ 100kg), good build quality. The back tilt has adjustable based on weight, but it only just about covers my 100kg, so may not be great it you ar much heavier.

TOP STAR Topstar Support SY Comfortable Home and Office Intervertebral Discs Swivel Chair : Reliable and Comfortable

So comfy, fairly easy to construct. Construction: the parts of the chair are all well protected in the box, so expect to spend 5 minutes unwrapping everything (the padding inside is recyclable, which is better than use of polystyrene, of course. The pictures are fairly straightforward, the arms are not obvious at first but with help from my son to steady the chair it was ok. The wheels took a bit of effort to get in (the instructions say a bit of lubricant could be used). The rest of the bits just clipped together quite easily (i didn’t hear a klik when the back went in but it doesn’t seem to have mattered). Time to build: 15 minutes including all the unwrapping. (note there are left and right stickers under the arms in german)in use: the chair can be adjusted in a number of ways. The seat can be raised quite high (very smooth gas action), i am just over 6 feet and my legs were dangling. You can also lean the back back, fixed or moving. The arms move up and down with some little twisty knobs on the outside of each one (nice action again).

When i opened this up and started to assemble the chair i was very impressed. Arm rests, heavy chromed affairs looking very solid and functional. However as i assembled the chair i came across a raft of issues:roller legs. The rollers are stiff and jammed up and don’t roll freely at all. The rollers don’t fit into the pedastil very wellthe instructions don’t reflect the assembly requiredthe bolt holes that are pre-screwed are not good quality which means the screw threads feel like they are crossed up when they are not. The back rest feels flimsy and un-yieldingthe seat is hard.

Having, in the past, bought cheap office chairs and always being disappointed by them, when this opportunity came up to try something more substantial, i leapt at the chance. So here is my review – the first thing you notice about it is the weight. Substantial comes to mind, well made with lots of solid metal, welded not screwed. Putting it together was a doddle until i had to fit the arms. Don’t get me wrong, the arms were not difficult in any way, but as the rest of the chair just ‘slotted’ together, the arms were more complicated to fit. They needed three screws each using the supplied allen keys. The chair itself is comfortable, but not too comfortable – meaning it is not soft on the bottom or back, but rather it aims to ‘fit’ the user. This makes it ideal for long sessions at the computer or whatever. Both arms are adjustable, meaning they go up and down. Here are the specifications for the TOP STAR Topstar Support SY Comfortable Home and Office Intervertebral Discs Swivel Chair:

  • Ergonomically body shaped backrest with built in moulding in the area of the lumbar vertebra
  • Intervertebral discs seat
  • Synchro-mechanism
  • Height adjustable “U2” armrests
  • Chromed steel base

The chair arrives in a massive box that even the courier, relieved to find me in, had trouble carrying and moving about. It’s a flat pack (even to the extent of inserting the casters) best unpacked from wherever the courier might helpfully place it. The components are well packed with expanded foam protecting key components and several bags of shredded cardboard padding; a checklist is provided so you can ensure everything is present before embarking on assembly. • overall finishthe first thing that struck me about the chair was that the component parts did not seem particularly well finished. The underside of the base (admittedly not on view) was particularly poor but the top area into which the gas mechanism is inserted is covered only by a moulded piece of chrome coloured plastic, which didn’t quite look right. The fabric chosen for the seat and back seems to be of a reasonable quality although the plastic components feel on the flimsy side, up to the job but not as good as i would expect for a chair with this rrp. • ease of assemblythe chair requires full self-assembly and in the box you should have the chrome base, a moulded plastic chrome shield, five casters, gas mechanism and cover, seat, back, two arm rests and a bag of screws, washers and spacers. I am not normally fazed by flat packs and can normally put them together with relative ease; in this case even inserting the casters took an enormous effort and around 30 minutes alone to complete after two of the five absolutely refused to fit even after lubrication. Note after assembly of the base, the instructions become slightly vague and minimal guidance is provided for attaching the arm rests.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Well made, comfortable in use, albeit a few ergonomic issues. The assembly instructions are woefully inadequate.
  • Reliable and Comfortable
  • Decent office chair

An expensive but comfortable office/typist chair. On opening the box the chair looked to be very well packed which is always a good start. I had to get my husband to “dictate” the review as he is the one who usually puts things together. He said the instructions were not the best he’d ever read but it gave at least some idea of where the bits were supposed to go. When building things like this i tend to open the packets and make sure all of the pieces described in the instructions are actually in the box. They were and of good quality too. Having done this before, the chair was fairly straightforward to assemble. If you’re new to these things then i would suggest you proceed carefully and take time to get all the bits in the right place. The two allen keys that were provided were also of reasonable quality. The chair has most of the usual adjustments for height, back rest height and the lock to stop the chair reclining is secure and easy to operate. The arms are well made and easily adjustable for height. All in all the chair is comfortable and a good office or typist chair, if a little too expensive (the reason for the four stars).

Well made, comfortable in use, albeit a few ergonomic issues. The assembly instructions are woefully inadequate. . Took me 25 minutes to assemble (it arrives well packaged but in bits). It comes with a couple of allen keys, which are all that is required. The assembly instructions are poor. My advice would be:1/ get everything out, unpacked and visible. Get another chair (a dinner chair without arms)2/ mount the the wheels into the 5 spokes. I used a bit of vaseline to help them go in – it took a bit of force. 3/ put the plastic ‘chrome’ cover over the center of the spokes. 4/ put the seat upside down on the chair you got earlier.

Topstar Wellpoint 30 Comfortable Office Swivel Chair : Expensive, but well worth it.

Its well built and should last. Colleagues are now very jelous.

I am a lady in my 70s and needed a chair to use at my computer. Not being able to assemble it myself i had a little wait until i found a willing person to put it together for me. I watched while the job was done and was surprised at how easy it was. There was a little bit of a problem fitting the arms as the holes were not easy to line up but we got there without too much fuss and i am now comfortably installed. There is a 3 year guarantee with this chair and it is sturdy and well made.

I purchased an addition two sets after receiving my original order. It does a fantastic job for being so well and so inexpensive they were perfect and each one worked great just as described and worked great. Thanks delivery soon, something good, have the effect. My colleagues are very like. Oh come again next time this is probably the most interesting item i bought from amazon. This fits the bill perfectly. It provide both decorative purpose and safety feature. Here are the specifications for the Topstar Wellpoint 30 Comfortable Office Swivel Chair:

  • High body shaped backrest with a comfortable moulded upholstery foam
  • Big moulded seat with a comfortable moulded upholstery foam
  • Synchro-mechanism
  • Height adjustable “K2” armrests, width adjustable via bolting and with radial adjustable soft arm pads
  • Black polyamide base

Can’t adjust angle without locking it at that angle. The chair’s back angle can be adjusted and locked into place. If you want to be able to lean back from time to time, you are out of luck unless you are happy with the chair in it’s completely upright position. But that position is less than 90 degrees so it is very uncomfortable. I admit i might be wrong about this but i cannot sort it out: the back locks to a particular angle or you can lean back on demand if you unlock it. The kind of chair i am used to allows you to lock in a minimum setting and then lean back from there as far as you want. This is very disappointing and makes an otherwise fairly decent (for the money) chair almost a complete fail for me. Really if it’s a chair and you spend a lot of time in it and you want to be comfortable, you must try it out. Now i need to decide whether i am up for the hassle of returning such a big item.

Good chair worth the money i paid. Truly very comfortable chair which induces you to sit straight therefore sparing you any back pain problems even after continuous 4-5 hours of work.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Beware Amazon Warehouse Deals but Topstar customer service exceptional
  • Topstar 8060KBC0E, excellent comfortable chair, very good construction
  • Best quality chairs.

I bought this chair for last christmas 2013 and it is still standing. So far the best chair i’ve ever sat on. There is absolutely no problem with it.

Solid office style comfort, at home. This is a very sturdy chair that is perfect for home office. The boxthe chair comes in a rather large box, partly assembled. I had visions of hours spent trying to put it together, but it actually took less than 8 minutes. Assemblysuper easy and very fast. You click on the wheels on the base, slide the central pillar, gently position the top (which also comes in 2 easily clicked sections) – et voila, the chair is up and rollingthen you can add both armrests. This operation does involve the fastening of 3 screws on each side (key included)comfortif you spend long hours in front of your computer (mac), then you need good support and this chair delivers. It’s got this nice heavy luxurious feeling, and with one lever to adjust the height and one to adjust the backrest, finding the optimal, most comfortable setting is super easy. For further fine tuning you can also turn the knob under the chair and of course adjust the height of the backrest and the arm rests. What else?well it does look like an office chair, and that’s precisely what it is. It is sturdy, functional, ergonomic and supportive to alleviate back problems. Also if more than one person uses it you need to readjust. But that’s really all the limitations i could findconclusionafter spending a day using it i feel less back pain that i used to have in my lovely ‘design’ chair, i have not been slouching over my mac like i usually do, thanks to the ergonomic integrated in the backrest. And actually this chair is much better than the one i have at the officea very wise investment.

Topstar HE20PBC00E Head Point Comfort Swivel Chair : Comfortable and affordable

Everything you would want in an office chair. This is an excellent office chair. It is comfortable, easy to assemble, sturdy and well made and adjustable. Offers excellent back support. Perfect for long hours in front of a computer or at a work station. Comes in a big box with a serrated front flap that tears open. The box contains the three main bits – the backrest, the seat and the pedestal, along with the bolts, key to screw in the bolts, washers and armrests, assembles very easily. I did it in less than 5 minutes and with minimum effort. The wheels pop into the stand, the armrests screw onto the seat, the seat clips onto the base and the backrest slides into the seat.

Chair ok: instruction leaflet could be better. This is a mid-range chair, usefully occupying the generally rather empty space in the market between the cheap and cheapish chairs that (dis)grace far too many commercial and home offices, and imposing executive chairs, not all of which add a great deal more to the workstation than an expression of status. If you think this chair is expensive, pause for a moment to think how much we pay for comfortable chairs with a range of adjustments in a motor car. And most of us spend a lot more time at our workstation than we do in our car. Made in germany, this is a substantial chair, apparently well-made and likely to prove durable. Its looks are, to my mind, actually better than as pictured. The backrest is more substantial than it appears in the picture, and at most angles in most lights is less see-through. As delivered, it requires self-assembly from 12 main parts (including the five casters as separate items). In total, they weigh around 27kg, yet they are delivered in one large, heavy box. Delivered by parcel force by one man working alone, inevitably he had something to say about the weight, and the box was badly damaged.

Solid adjustable computer chair. This computer chair is made by topstar the german manufacturer of a vast range of high-end office chairs. It comes well packaged in a very large box. It is largely disassembled although all but the arm rests can be assembled without tools and within a couple of minutes. The chair casters simply attach to the five-spoke base, the pneumatic spring and cover slide into the base, the chair sits on top and the backrest slides into the mechanism at the rear of the seat. You will need to use the two allen keys and six screws to attach the arm rests. I’d suggest that you do this before assembling the rest of the chair, not doing so last as the instructions sort of suggest. It’s much easier to access the screw holes on the base of the seat before it’s completely assembled. The chair would seem to work almost as well without adding the arms if you’re short of space and want to be able to push the chair completely under a desk. In use the chair can be adjusted in several ways. Here are the specifications for the Topstar HE20PBC00E Head Point Comfort Swivel Chair:

  • Convenient moulded seat with comfortable bolster for knees
  • Point syncro mechanism, for the adjustment of the seat and the backrest angle
  • Including height adjustable armrests P4

Very comfortable, well built office chair that can be used all day. . I work from home so need a comfortable office chair to use for the whole day. This has really fitted the bill nicely, well, nearly. Firstly, you need to assemble the chair as it arrives in pieces, but it is all relatively straight forward and i easily managed it on my own in about 20 minutes and all the tools you need are supplied. You have to attach the arm rests, wheels and slot the chair seat and back rest together and you’re then good to go. The seat itself is very comfortable and stays that way for extended periods of up to 3 or 4 hours of continuous use in my experience with no real sign of becoming uncomfortable which was very good. It is very adjustable, you can adjust the height and also the tilt of the back rest (which is made of material mesh and is also really comfortable), and also the height of the back rest so you can find a comfortable position. Unfortunately there is no tilt adjustment for the seat part which you would generally get on an office chair at this price. One minor irritation for me is with the arm rests. They do adjust up and down which is great, but they don’t quite go high enough for where my arms naturally want to rest.

As good as a herman miller office chair?. This chair arrived in its component parts but was easy to put together. Typical german efficiency, no need to even look at the instruction leaflet. Topstar is not a brand that i have heard of before but i like their style. This chair has a very high-end look and feel to it – i particularly like the curved back with an almost spine-like design. It fits together beautifully and looks like it will last for years. Height adjustment is good and the back can be angled or set to recline when pushed against. Seat is shaped and firm and the whole chair promotes good posture. I’ve been using it every day for a week and it feels really comfortable. I suppose i’ve always wanted a herman miller office chair but you could buy two or three of these topstar chairs for same price.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Been using this chair for a good few months now
  • Everything you would want in an Office Chair!
  • Very comfortable, well built office chair that can be used all day.

So it’s taken me a while to write the review as it took me about a week to pluck up the courage to put this together. This fear was borne out of the fact that it arrived in a huge box which has dominated the hallway for all this time. Thankfully fear was unfounded- i’m not a big or strong person by any means and also pretty nimble with my hands i’m usually not so great at putting things together. This is found pretty simple and all that is needed in the box. You do need a bit of patience and all in all it took me a bit over 45 minutes to assemble punctuated by a cuppawhat you end up with is a really steady and handsome looking chair. And comfort wise one of the best chairs i have used – and as a freelance worker i tend to hot-desk so have experienced many different chairs. This has the lovely balance of a neutral sort of look, and the comfort with support in all the right places. The height adjustments in general and also specifically for armrests work smoothly and aren’t difficult to work out. Like some others i didn’t follow the instructions entirely to a tee as it was quite intuitive.

This is a really nice chair. It seems a little expensive to me, but i get the impression that office chairs are always more expensive than you would expect. The quality seems really good – very sturdy and solid-feeling. The casters roll well, the hydraulic mechanism for lifting and lowering the seat seems robust, and the back support works well. The seat itself is nicely moulded and the armrests are made of a kind of squishy plastic, which is a nice touch. The whole thing was very easy to assemble (it only took me about 5 minutes, on my own – maybe i have some special, previously-unacknowledged seat-assembly skills, but it all just seemed to slot into place, and only the armrests needed screwing in).

Topstar Point 40 Comfort Office Swivel Chair : Good chair for the money

An impressively solid and comfortable chair. That offers tremendous support to the back and thighs. I have found it to be a very comfortable shape. The two lever action for good height adjustment and recline work well. There’s a metal bar brace that is attached during assembly, under the seat, that provides a platform to attach the two arm rests. A reassuringly sturdy design. All in all, its a strong, practical chair with a durable mesh covering the back and seat cushions.

Excellent addition to your work environment. I’ll start by saying that i only received the chair today but am thus far really happy with the quality of the product. The colour is very vibrant and fits in nicely with all other décor, it was easy to put together and the fit is perfect. A few months back i bought a chair that was seemingly substandard, as such it has given me pain in my shoulder where bad posture was in place, a sore back and after long periods of sitting a somewhat uncomfortable posteriorhaving tried a few different things to change my set up i decided to bite the bullet and get something with a little more quality, having shelled out the cash i am so glad i made that choice. This being my first day work on it so, 8+ hours sitting at my desk and already, all symptoms have disappeared. I have seen this chair sell other places for upwards of £100 so snapped when i saw it here for what i paid, £65. Well worth the money if you spend long hours working at a desk.

Picture guidelines were a bit difficult to follow and i had to dismantle it once – second time managed to get it altogether in all the right places and it was really worth it. I have the best chair i have ever owned – it is really comfortable – supports you in all the right places and would certainly recommend it. Here are the specifications for the Topstar Point 40 Comfort Office Swivel Chair:

  • High body shaped backrest with a comfortable moulded upholstery foam and integrated lumbar vertebra support
  • Special Orthoseat, orthopedically shaped
  • Permanent-contact-mechanism
  • Fixed black “B2(B)” ring armrest
  • Black polyamide base

Quite a nice chair and easily put together. Quite a nice chair and easily put together. I don’t use it often as i bought this for my wife, but she likes it.

A great product; relatively easy to assemble; colour not as bad as the picture looks.

Delighted with this purchase. So comfortable and easy to assemble. Above all it is very comfortable and i love the colour and fabric. Suffering from a back injury, i find the chair provides excellent support.

A friend of mine refers to chairs as objects of desire, not shiny or glittery, but somehow, soft black holes of all encompassing comfort. ‘the chair i’m going to die in’, she says. A good chair, even one as apparently mundane as a computer desk chair, is the literal seat of productivity. With these, things get done. A good chair makes it all possible. Aside from the construction of this chair – it comes part-assembled – the whole sitting business of it is easy.
