GUILDFORD Suede-Effect Brown Office Chair : Missing order but faith restored

A working-in chair, not for lazing about. . For healthy posture this is a good chai, with firm seat and backr, for long-term comfort it is not. Setting up was easy, though screwing the bolts into the base to secure the fixing plate was difficult and took some patrience to get even tightness. The tan ‘suede’ covering is an attractive change from the usual black pseudo-leather. Tightening the bolts about once a month is essential as the chair settles in. An interesting feature is the arm-covers which are zipped and can easily be moved to suit personal taste. A decent chair, but nothing spectacular.

Good product, excellent service. Unfortunately this particular chair was not in stock when i ordered but the supplier was quick to get in touch. An alternative (and uprated) product was supplied well within the delivery time forecast and throughout the process the supplier kept me informed. In short, an excllent product, well made and easy to assemble and the supplier is an example to all web-based businesses as to how to provide good customer service.

The seat is quite wide and the padding on both the seat and the back is quite thick. The wood and suede effect looks good and doesn’t look out of place in my living room. Here are the specifications for the GUILDFORD Suede-Effect Brown Office Chair:

Absolutely perfect for my home office, really nice quality and well put together. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an office chair with a little extra.

What a lovely chair this has turned out to be. I have owned this chair for nearly a month, and it has been almost faultless. Out of the box, it was easy to put together in 15 mins, and as long as you follow the clear instructions, it’s straight forward. At my desk it looks the part, and was commented on by other staff as ‘posh’ or ‘lovely colour’ and so on, all positive. I am on the rather large size, and some chairs give me a stiff back, or a numb bum as they don’t quite adjust enough for me – this is quite the opposite, and adjusts enough to be comfy all day. I particularly like the fabric, which is very nice to the touch, and the back is nice and high, so i can lean back and rest my neck when i’m ‘thinking’negatives – the arm sleaves ride up/down, and probably need glueing to the wood arm rests, but this is only a tiny niggle, and no trouble as the velcro & zip at the back is quite tight, so it’s a slow processthis chair offers great value, and added luxury not found elsewhere in this price range.

Comfortable, good-looking chair, but gas struts leak. I had a bit of trouble assembling this – the first gas strut leaked (and was replaced free of charge, no fuss) but it was quite difficult to prise the old one out once it had been sat on. Also i had to use a really big screwdriver to get the screws tight enough. Three years later the gas strut has started to droop again but this time it’s out of warranty and it’s proving difficult to find a replacement. The chair is comfortable and otherwise has worn quite well – the padding on the arms is getting a little shiny but nothing serious (and that padding is removable). I’m 180 cm tall (5′ 10′) and for me the chair never gets quite high enough – another half inch would be better. These niggles aside, i would recommend it and would happily buy another – in fact, i did, for my wife.

RICHMOND Brown Leather Office Chair : Good value, smart chair

I am delighted with the chair. It was straightforward to assemble. It’s very comfortable and stylish and looks perfect in my home office.

Very comfortable and worth the money. The supplier was extremely helpful when answering a query on the availability of spare parts. Would recommend both the chair and the supplier.

Comfortable and the facings look and feel good, they are however only ‘bonded leather’ so don’t expect them to last. . A large comfortable office chair. I have owned two over the past 10 years, however the latest one, although i have had five years use out of it, is now being replaced with a pu faux leather one of a different make. The facings can only loosely be described as leather as they are melted down scraps of left over leather, dyed and then bonded to material. Mine has over the past two years cracked and come away from the material that it was bonded to. It still functions as a comfortable chair, but leaves tiny pieces of cracked ‘leather’ all over the floor and the chair looks scruffy. The ‘bonded leather’ does give it a luxury feel, however i believe that a pu material (like the back of the chair) would in fact be more durable and would have meant i would not have needed to replace my chair for approx another 3-5 years (8-10 years in total). It does seem a bit of a waste as the whole chair is now destined for landfill.

  • Good Value Leather Chair – Looks Great

Had it for 6 years but still like new. . Very comfy and came quickly, had it for 6 years but still like new. . Just dont like the arms they keep getting loose after a month and you have to keep tightening it but its not a big issue. The chair is very comfy and strong.

Why is there thread lock in the screws?. The screws seem to have been i served with thread lock and as a result were extremely difficult to extract. Heads ere not sufficiently large to suit larger more powerful screwdrivers. Without the thraed lock, assembly would have been relatively easy.

KNIGHTSBRIDGE Cream Leather Office Chair : Kightsbridge Leather Chair

I am very pleased with this chair. It looks good, is comfortable, and was good value for money. It was reasonably easy to put together, though we had to ring the company to discover that some of the screws needed were already screwed into the chair. It would have helped if the instructions had said this.

I was very pleased with both the service and the product itself, and would recommend both to anyone. This chair makes my life a lot more comfortable and could do the same for you.

Only now am i looking to replace it and am absolutely delighted to see that this is still available and have. Wow, i bought one of these 8 years ago and am sitting on it now writing this. Only now am i looking to replace it and am absolutely delighted to see that this is still available and have just ordered one to replace this one. I’ve been forced to replace it as the leather has sadly worn and eventually dissolved in two patches on the seat and on the very front edge in two place – buttocks and thighs. However, i have sat on this chair almost every working day and some very long days for almost exactly 8 years (business start up date 14 may 2007) and have been comfortable, well supported and very satisfied with the chair, so much so i have ordered another one to replace it – what more can i say to recommend it?. Here are the specifications for the KNIGHTSBRIDGE Cream Leather Office Chair:

  • COLOUR: Black leather office chair

Quite firm seat but i’m sure it. Quite firm seat but i’m sure it will soften. Leather soft on arms but don’t panic if these get marked as they can be purchased separately from this buyer who has offered a first class service from start to finish. Would definitely buy from them again.

Looks great and feels great.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good quality but not designed for tall people
  • Kightsbridge Leather Chair
  • Quick and Confortable

Good quality but not designed for tall people. Very good quality but this thing is pretty small. I’m just shy of 6ft and my knees protrude at least 3 inches from the end of the base even with my back pressed hard to the back; the curve of the base sits almost directly in the belly of my hamstrings, so dead legs and pins ‘n needles are likely. The back is level with my shoulders, would have expected it to give some form of support to my neck and head although i guess this is by design. Would recommend for anyone up to around 5′ 8’, not especially great for anyone much taller i think.
