Office Hippo 24 Hour High Back Office Chair : Poor quality covering.

This chair is an absolute tank. Supremely comfortable and supportive. It’s clear where your money has gone. Beforehand, i was suffering with bad back (slipped disc) and this chair really helped with correcting my posture and allowing my back to recover. The chair will probably outlast me.

So far so good, it hasn’t broken yet and it’s very comfy. It came without a gas lift but it was a warehouse deal and i had a really heavy duty lift from a previous chair which i used. The adjustable back and seat seem to stay where i put them and i don’t get ‘numb bum’ syndrome from sitting on it for a few hours at a time, it’s just the right size for my study too. It’s well made, sturdy and was easy to put together. . I like the colour as well. Pleased with this and reckon i got a good deal on it too.

A comfortable, supportive office chair. This is a really sturdy, comfortable office chair. I was a little worried that the seat would be too deep front to back, but it’s just fine. However, i’m 5’8′, so it might be a problem with anyone with shorter legs. It’s really firm, which i love, but if you’re looking for a ‘squashy’ seat, it’s probably not for you. It takes a bit of fiddling around to get the optimum seating position (there are four levers to manipulate), but great once you’ve found it. It’s reasonably easy to assemble – i managed it on my own in just over 30 minutes (the six bolts on the bottom took a while to do, as you can’t get a full turn on the allen key). The only reason i didn’t give it five stars was because the assembly instructions weren’t as clear as they could have been (for example, they imply that you have to attach the armrest brackets yourself, but they are actually pre-fitted to the seat – i spent a while looking for the bits and panicking that they were missing) and i still haven’t figured out what lever d does. Very comfortable chair but can’t work out what the front lever does????.

Very comfortable – has a deep seat so may need an additional cushion if using it at a computer.

Well packaged and easy to assemble. Arrived quickly, well packaged and easy to assemble. I do get tight through hips if sit for long periods, however if i sit on this properly it seems to not cause me the issues other chairs can.

This is a large and comfy office chair, which gives the correct posture while sitting at a desk.

    1. This is the best office chair i’ve owned so far. Large, comfy, hardwearing and infinitely adjustable. Or not infinitely, but there are four different levers that allow for a wide range of sitting positions. I work from home and spend up to 18 hours a day at my computer. I would prefer the armrests to come further forward, and the back rattles if i laugh whilst not leaning against it (which amuses my family). This is the best office chair i’ve owned so far.

    This is the best office chair i’ve owned so far. Large, comfy, hardwearing and infinitely adjustable. Or not infinitely, but there are four different levers that allow for a wide range of sitting positions. I work from home and spend up to 18 hours a day at my computer.     Really heavy duty computer chairs. We had 2 heavy duty office chairs for over 10 years but they caved in a few years ago. We have tried other chairs but they never seem to last that long or were comfortable for long periods. Until now, these are well built heavy duty chairs that are comfortable for long periods. Fully adjustable to suit anybody and everybody. If you want a heavy duty, fully adjustable, very comfortable chair to sit in for long periods then i would suggest you purchase these as the old saying goes “you get what you pay for” well worth the money (according to my wife).     Strong good looking chair. . I am pleased with this chair. It looks nice and is comfortable. However it is quite a lot of fun to assemble. The components are substantial and quite a lot of work with allen keys is required. Once built though its worth it.

    An excellent chair designed in the ‘car seat’ fashion, robust and for long period use comfortably. I can’t find how to lower the back of the seat after having over extended it upwards. It’s just a case of finding the right place for my back since it is arthritic. Otherwise it arrived 2 days early and is a comfy well thought out product.

    An excellent chair designed in the ‘car seat’ fashion, robust and for long period use comfortably. I can’t find how to lower the back of the seat after having over extended it upwards. It’s just a case of finding the right place for my back since it is arthritic. Otherwise it arrived 2 days early and is a comfy well thought out product.

    Many capable positions and angles. Many capable positions and angles, brilliant in this respect but build quality was a bit off. The backrest can be moved up a fair way but the more you do the more it wobbles, never going to fall off but a little annoying. I needed a replacement armrest, one of mine was not attached properly so they sent an entire chair.I just took the armrest out and sent back the new one?cushion is ok, i am way heavier than i like 19st and it just about does the job. I am also 6″ and fine the chair a very good fit. It can also go extremely wide (not that i am) but if your very wide then this will def accommodate you. Also has a tilt forward option, not sure why but nice to have :).

The seat is well padded and the chair is very comfortable, there is ample adjustment available for each part and i pleased with the purchase. My only small criticism is that i would have liked the arm rests to have been more padded.

    Office hippo 24 hour high back office chair. . I purchased this nearly 3 months ago for my study, i have waited until now to review it to give me time to thoroughly test it. The seat is well padded and the chair is very comfortable, there is ample adjustment available for each part and i pleased with the purchase. My only small criticism is that i would have liked the arm rests to have been more padded.

The chair arrived and was unpacked and parts laid out with clear instruction on a single a4 paper on how to assemble and to adjust. I used my own tools but the supplied allen keys are fine and it took around 10 mins to have it up and running but to be fair i started my working life at verco who manufacture office chairs and furniture so its just like most chairs to assemble. The chair has plenty of adjustments or be it in basic form and is ample for the use i need. The back can be free to move or locked, the base can be free to move or locked(no length adjustment), the seat forward tilt can be locked to remain flat, the rests have height adjustment with a small amount of side adjustment, back rest section has height adjustment on a simple lift and lock notch system, there is a spring control to alter tension for free movement of the seat when leaning back and the height of the chair can be adjusted. The cloth is a typical hard wearing material and the padding is medium to hard which for me is what i was after. The stitching looks fine and is even around the cloth joints. Time will tell how the foam stands up on the seat base and if the rear joints holding the back rest stands up to the test of time but first impressions is that its a good quality basic office chair. One point worth mentioning is the back support plate with the nut has been spot welded on and if you find the screw a tad tight to screw its ok to keep on screwing in as its the heat that just has a slight effect on the nut but its a strong joint and not a problem.
