A working-in chair, not for lazing about. . For healthy posture this is a good chai, with firm seat and backr, for long-term comfort it is not. Setting up was easy, though screwing the bolts into the base to secure the fixing plate was difficult and took some patrience to get even tightness. The tan ‘suede’ covering is an attractive change from the usual black pseudo-leather. Tightening the bolts about once a month is essential as the chair settles in. An interesting feature is the arm-covers which are zipped and can easily be moved to suit personal taste. A decent chair, but nothing spectacular.
Good product, excellent service. Unfortunately this particular chair was not in stock when i ordered but the supplier was quick to get in touch. An alternative (and uprated) product was supplied well within the delivery time forecast and throughout the process the supplier kept me informed. In short, an excllent product, well made and easy to assemble and the supplier is an example to all web-based businesses as to how to provide good customer service.
The seat is quite wide and the padding on both the seat and the back is quite thick. The wood and suede effect looks good and doesn’t look out of place in my living room. Here are the specifications for the GUILDFORD Suede-Effect Brown Office Chair:

Absolutely perfect for my home office, really nice quality and well put together. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an office chair with a little extra.
What a lovely chair this has turned out to be. I have owned this chair for nearly a month, and it has been almost faultless. Out of the box, it was easy to put together in 15 mins, and as long as you follow the clear instructions, it’s straight forward. At my desk it looks the part, and was commented on by other staff as ‘posh’ or ‘lovely colour’ and so on, all positive. I am on the rather large size, and some chairs give me a stiff back, or a numb bum as they don’t quite adjust enough for me – this is quite the opposite, and adjusts enough to be comfy all day. I particularly like the fabric, which is very nice to the touch, and the back is nice and high, so i can lean back and rest my neck when i’m ‘thinking’negatives – the arm sleaves ride up/down, and probably need glueing to the wood arm rests, but this is only a tiny niggle, and no trouble as the velcro & zip at the back is quite tight, so it’s a slow processthis chair offers great value, and added luxury not found elsewhere in this price range.
Reviews from purchasers :

- Missing order but faith restored

Comfortable, good-looking chair, but gas struts leak. I had a bit of trouble assembling this – the first gas strut leaked (and was replaced free of charge, no fuss) but it was quite difficult to prise the old one out once it had been sat on. Also i had to use a really big screwdriver to get the screws tight enough. Three years later the gas strut has started to droop again but this time it’s out of warranty and it’s proving difficult to find a replacement. The chair is comfortable and otherwise has worn quite well – the padding on the arms is getting a little shiny but nothing serious (and that padding is removable). I’m 180 cm tall (5′ 10′) and for me the chair never gets quite high enough – another half inch would be better. These niggles aside, i would recommend it and would happily buy another – in fact, i did, for my wife.
